Replacing old machine w/ new
Another day, and a new client. This business customer had called about their office computer not working. I did an onsite service call, to determine what course of action to take. As it turns out, the computer was a 15 year old Gateway PC. It did have Windows 10 on it surprisingly! However, it just didn’t have the processing power or capacity to do anything turn on. Windows was completely bogged down, and you couldn’t even perform the most basic tasks. I ended up replacing the computer with another one, and also doing a data recovery off of the old computer. This same customer also brought me their old home computer, which was no longer turning on. Turns out it was of similar age to their office PC at work. I did a data recovery off of that also. The customer bought a new laptop for home use based on my recommendation, and I did the setup and installation on it. You never know what kind of service calls you will end up on, but that is what makes it an interesting business to be in!
